The Dunbar Free Library is a free resource to all residents in the town of Grantham.
We encourage and provide opportunities for lifelong learning and cultural enrichment for all families and individuals.
The Dunbar Free Library supports the expanding and diverse needs of the community by offering information for practical living related to work, school, and personal life.
We strive to maintain high interest and current materials along with the latest technological resources.
We serve as a community center that offers materials and programs for adults, young adults, and children.

Museum of New Hampshire History, Concord, NH Family Pass, free admission
Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, Warner, NH 2 1-person passes, free admission
The Fells, Newbury, NH ** 2 Family passes, free admission, not for special events
Billings Farm and Museum, Woodstock, VT ** 1 Family pass, free admission
Currier Art Museum, Manchester, NH ** 2 passes good for 2 adults each, children 17 and under are free, special events are not free
McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (and Planetarium), Concord, NH ** Passes for up to 2 adults and 2 children free admission to exhibits, the Planetarium shows require $3.50 per person.
VINS, Quechee, VT 2 passes for 2 individuals each, free admission
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston MA ** Coupons for 2 adults for $7.00 admission each (normally $20). Children 7-17 are free whenever Boston schools are normally not in session: after 3, weekends, and holidays. Only a certain quantity of coupons, and they expire April 30, 2012.
Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Holderness, NH ** 2 free trails admissions, plus up to 4 admissions at only 7$ apiece (normally $15)
Museum of Science, Boston MA ** Dated coupons (one for each day of the year except 9/6/11, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) for 4 admissions to exhibit halls at $7 each (normally $18-22). Not good for Planetarium, 3-D movies, Imax, butterfly garden or special exhibits with separate admission.

Late Fees
$0.10 per day per item

Maximum late fee: $5 per item or the cost of the item.

Fines must be under $10 in order to take items out.

1st and 2nd overdue notices are free.

Final Notice:If you are billed for the lost item(s), you will be charged a $5 processing fee plus the cost of the item or late fees if the item is returned.
Friends of The Dunbar Free Library
The Friends of the Dunbar Free Library sponsor programs and raise money to benefit the library. If you would like to become a Friend or make a donation, membership envelopes are available at the circulation desk.

TRUSTEE MEETINGS—2012 schedule
The Dunbar Free Library Trustees' meetings will be held at the library at 6:00 PM on the 3rd Thursday of each month from January to June, and August to October. There will be no meeting in July and that in December will be held on the second Thursday of the month. November’s meeting is a budget workshop with no other item on the agenda. The public is invited to attend.
