Hola! all you downloadable audio users. There is a new program in the works for us, the libraries, of the consortium to take care of. One of the aspects of this new program is whether or not to implement PINs (personal identification numbers) that you will have to input in addition to your OVERDRIVE version of your library card number. Are you in favor? Have you ever had a hold disappear that you’re sure you didn’t download? It is possible to type someone else’s library card number in by mistake, a PIN would be more likely to ensure that you and only you (or your trusted loved one(s)) would be the only one accessing your account. OR is the system working just fine as it is? Please get back to me, because it is quite a bit of work and I’m not going to go to the trouble unless LOTS of you say it’s important!
School is almost out! The Saturday before school gets out is the blowout beginning bash of the Summer Reading Program: Splish Splash Science! At Grantham Village School, June 19th 10 a.m.
Have you noticed the beautiful afghan in the display case? (Below Oliver’s ducks?) Terri Heepe (if you come in on Thursday or Friday or Saturday you know Terri) donated that to the Friends for them to raffle off: tickets are available at the library for 2$ or 3/5$ and the winner will be picked at Old Home Day. Speaking of which! The Cookie walk posters are up, so if you like to bake and want to support the Friends of Dunbar Free Library then drop your cookies or bars off at the library on Friday July 2nd from 9-12 or Saturday July 3rd from 9-2. AND then! buy other cookies at the walk itself, July 4th! Get there early, they go fast—sale starts at 11:30 a.m.
